New analyses, new insights: Key figures on breast cancer in Switzerland 2020–2022

For the first time, the National Agency for Cancer Registration (NACR) has used cancer registry data to evaluate the quality of diagnoses and treatments. For this purpose, data on more than 20'000 cases of breast cancer and precancerous breast lesions from across Switzerland were analysed from 2020 to 2022. A total of 38 indicators were used to provide insights into frequency, early detection, tumour characteristics and treatment.
